Tony Blair and Universities

Friday, 22 April, 2022

Tony Blair called for yet more people to be pushed into university this week, whether it’s right for them or not. One size fits all thinking when it comes to higher education is condescending and does nothing for people.

We are building a truly lifelong, flexible and world-class system that will put the cash equivalent of 4-years learning into the hands of the British people to spend as they see fit - whether they want to do a 3-year degree, a college course or a single module to boost their career.

That’s how we realise the transformational potential of our further and higher education system.
