🚂 #GetCorshamAStation UPDATE: The Corsham Town Team and myself as the lead sponsor have been working on the Strategic Outline Business Case for reopening a station over the last few months, and I’m very happy to say that this has now been SUBMITTED to the Department for Transport. 🚀
📈This business case is essentially what shows the Department for Transport that a station would be financially viable in Corsham. Having helped secure the £50,000 of funding to do this work, it’s great to see the project progress to this next stage.
✍️ I’ve also been working with our neighbouring MPs and have asked them to write in with their support, as a station in Corsham would have benefits for the wider area.
💬 We also have a new Rail Minister at the Department for Transport, who I have written to to request a meeting - I will be setting out our case for a station to him, and he will certainly become familiar with Corsham over the next few months…!
